MacDrive 8

August 10th, 2009

Whether you’re on a Windows PC or a Mac running Windows, sharing files on disks is no longer a hassle.

MacDrive for Windows takes all the guess work out disk accessibility. With MacDrive installed, your Windows computer now speaks Mac and you can access all types of Mac-formatted disks – including external hard drives, CDs, DVDs, iPod and more.

Simplify cross-platform computing
The best part about MacDrive is there is nothing to launch and nothing to learn – simply install and Windows understands Mac disks.

Along with the ability to read and write to Mac disks and volumes, you can also create Mac disks for easy file transfers and backups. The built-in MacDrive Disk Manager gives you the power to partition, format, analyze and repair disks, while the newly revamped CD/DVD Creator allows you to burn Mac CDs and DVDs.

What’s new in MacDrive 8

* Windows 7 support
* Windows 7 Libraries
* Apple Time Machine
* CD/DVD burning
* Large disks

There is no keygen yet for MacDrive 8, but you can register it using the one from MacDrive 7 if you follow these instructions:

1. Install MacDrive 7
2. use keygen to install it (read carefully the instructions for the keygen!)
3. save the file “license” in “C:\User\Application Data\Mediafour\LM\{****}\md7″ to another place
4. Uninstall MD7 and install MD8
5. Move the file “license” you copied earlier to “C:\User\Application Data\Mediafour\LM\{****}\md8″ and overwrite
6. Now restart and then use the keygen from v7.0 to register as usual

Now you have a registered copy of MacDrive 8!

    I am using Windows 7 Pro on a Macbook Pro. I cannot find the directory where the “license” file is kept. It doesn’t seem to create such a directory when installing Macdrive 7. Has anyone had a similar experience? Could somebody possibly email me a copy of the license file and i could manually place it in my folder? Thanks!

    There is a bit to be wished about the instruction manual here, I agree. Especially when the flaw it is about the crucial part of the cracking. However, the people who wrote it must have been working on Mac computers all their life. That leaves a trace ;)

    On my computer the path for the license file was:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Mediafour\LM\{B6916668-60EA-4EE6-AC3E-DA8989868EC0}\md7

    I doubt somebody others license file will help you, because license is generated with the Computer ID.

    Otherwise you do not need anything from here except the keygen for v7. Everything else can be downloaded from the manufacturers site

    mac drive 7 – download from http://download.mediafour.com/macdrive7

    mac drive 8 – download from http://download.mediafour.com/macdrive/

    Hope this helps
